I have a bit of a pet peeve of when people, especially in online things, claim to be from LA and they’re from the OC.

Like I was reading this post about “Which do you prefer, LA or NY?”
And someone’s like “Eh I’m from the OC, it’s not that great.”
NO SHIT SHERLOCK, IT’S NOT LA!!
Don’t get me wrong, I love parts of the OC and all (ahem, Disneyland) but I don’t think they’re entirely interchangeable. Entirely different counties, somewhat different centers, it’s not the same! It’s not exactly far but then again it’s not exactly close, depends on what you’re discussing. Orange County is fairly spaced apart, somewhat suburbia-esque when compared to the dense urban landscape of Los Angeles. You COULD go from one county to the other fairly easily but if the majority of your life is based in Orange County does that make you an Angeleno? I don’t know, don’t really want to go into geographical/social factors…

Idk this could just be me.
